Chief Refrigeration Engineer

PURPOSE

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible to Chief Engineer for operation, maintenance and repair of the ventilation, provision, catering, ice skating arena equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• He shall be thoroughly familiar with all company environmental policies.
• Should be familiar with YORK systems


• He shall work in full cooperation with the Chief Engineer to ensure compliance with policies and directives to safeguard the environment.


• He shall work with the Chief Engineer to ensure that all environmental systems within his department are operated and maintained to company standards
.

• He shall work with the Chief Engineer to ensure that all waste streams within his department are properly treated and disposed of following applicable international regulations and company requirements.


• Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice skating arena equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning is kept in full and proper working condition.


• Training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties.


• Delegation and distribution of work for his subordinates
.

• Coordination and control of the refrigeration accounts. Assist the Chief Engineer with the department budget proposals. Keeping a thorough check on all expenditures and base his requirements and recommendations on sound economic values.


• Fire dampers and Gaylord systems for all air-conditioning and ventilation ducts.


• In charge of maintenance and repair of Multi-flow Beverage Machines, Mini-Bar Units and all Ice Making Machines, where applicable.


• Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor.
• Member of the Shipboard Maintenance Team.
