Assistant Shore Excursion Mgr.

PURPOSE

The Assistant Shore Excursions Managers must be aware of all aspects of the shore excursions program with relation to the tours sold on board. He/She is under the supervision of the Excursions Manager, from whom all directives are given. The overall responsibility of the Assistant Excursions Managers is the day operation of the tour program.

• Sell tours to guests, generating revenue for the company.
• Provide information to guests on tours available to promote tour sales.
• Dispatch excursions shoreside in conjunction with the local vendors.
• Participate in excursions, as required by Excursion Manager, to monitor quality or to act as translator.
• Conduct lectures on the various tours available to help promote sales in various languages.
• Assist guests with questions relating to excursions and offer assistance with any special requests.
• Distribute tickets to guest cabins as necessary.
• To work in unison with the other assistants to ensure the smooth operation of the entire department in all its many facets, under the supervision of the manager who is solely responsible for your work hours an duties.

HIRING REQUIRMENTS

Minimum requirements: Strong background selling tours in the hospitality industry. Preference will be given to applicants with ship experience.
