Human Resources Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages the Human Resources activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources. Maintains core functions such as employee relations, benefits and compensation administration, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance. May direct staff development programs for the organization.

HIRING REQUIRMENTS

  • Seven to ten years Human Resources Generalist experience in a large organization, with a minimum of three years in the employee relations function investigating, negotiating and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Experience inan international environment is preferred, primarily in the hospitality industry. Knowledge of applicable laws governing the employment of US citizens and non-US citizens preferred.
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of a human resources operation, including the successsful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies. Ability to manage headcount within area as it relates to and supports the business needs of the vessel.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Knowlege of policies and practices involved in the human resources function. Ability to manage the international staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work. Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment.
  • Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field or in the international equivalent.
